Amishi Jha, Ph.D. is Director of Contemplative Neuroscience and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Miami.  She received her Ph.D from the University of California-Davis, and post-doctoral training in brain imaging at Duke University, and then went on as Assistant Professor in the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania before joining her current post.  

She studies the influence of contemplative practices, such as mindfulness meditation, on the brain systems of attention and working memory. Her work investigates the use of mindfulness training in high stress cohorts, such as members of the military, their spouses, and students. She was selected as a Science and Public Leadership Fellow, Pop!Tech, and serves on the editorial review boards of Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, Frontiers in Cognitive Science, and Frontiers in Psychology.

Scott Rogers, M.S., J.D., is Director of Programs and Training and of the Mindfulness in Law Program at the University of Miami School of Law. Since 2008, Professor Rogers has been teaching a series of Jurisight® mindfulness classes for Miami Law students. He co-developed and teaches the core curriculum class, "Mindful Ethics," the seminar, "Mindfulness in Law" and the short course, "Mindful Leadership." Professor Rogers’ mindfulness programs have also been adapted and taught to lawyers, judges, law students, mediators, medical students and residents, educators, parents, negotiators, and therapists.

Scott is the author of "Mindfulness for Law Students: Applying the Power of Mindful Awareness to Achieve Balance and Success in Law School" which is being used in law schools across the country, "The Six-Minute Solution: A Mindfulness Primer for Lawyers," “Mindful Parenting: Meditations, Verses and Visualizations for a More Joyful Life,” and “Mindfulness and Professional Responsibility: A Guidebook for Integrating Mindfulness into the Law School Curriculum."
